Some people may still not know (not be familiar) with floor plint (Hospital plint). We call it Hospital Plint because our product complies with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards, which is a reference for hygiene standards that are listed in applicable law. Our products are also widely used in hospitals, health centers, hotels, health installations, food industry factories, swimming pools and also clean markets.

Where, our products refer to the cleanliness mentioned in the law article 3.3 (p. 8) which regulates the cleanliness of “floors” in paragraph (C) which clearly states that: “It is recommended that the wall meets the floor be curved (Hospital Plint) , to make cleaning easier and not become a nest for dust and dirt to accumulate”.

Not only standardizing the product, we also have standardization for application or installation. Where each plinth has standards for installation. For the Plint – Alum type, the basic ingredients of the product are almost the same and similar to Radilum products, however the size and application or installation are very different.

For installation of Plint – Alum type:

  1. Cut straight plint (long rod) plint-alum to the required length.
  2. Attach the inner corner and outer corner to the aluminum plint rod that has been cut and reassembled using G glue (Korean glue).
  3. Apply sealant, just thinly, to the plinth, namely the bottom side (which sticks to the ceramic and the side of the wall. Smooth it with your finger.
  4. Clean the walls and floor with a wet cloth and a dry cloth.
  5. So that the sealant doesn’t ‘smear’ on the floor, stick paper insulation on the floor as a reference, at a distance of 46 -47 mm from the wall.
  6. Glue the plint to the floor and wall.
  7. The bottom side is pressed towards the floor, and the top side is pressed towards the wall. Overlap it with a sack or ceramic box.
  8. Add a little sealant to the gap between the plint to the wall and the floor → smooth & tidy.
  9. Within 10 minutes the sealant will start to dry, don’t move it any further.
  10. In 24 hours the sealant will become very strong.

So, now that you know how to install Plint – Alum. Next, we will discuss Radilum installation, which can be seen in the next article.
